Hi! I’m Sarah.
I offer personal coaching services to outliers of all kinds.
My perspective is shaped by my lived experience of complex trauma and my background and training as a public radio producer, yoga teacher, and mental health counselor.
I’m a relationship anarchist, astrologer, and forest-dweller. Some other labels I identify with include queer, kinky, and gifted. I was born into a high-control group, lost my mother at a young age, and was raised by a single father with a brain injury. I’ve spent decades working on generational trauma, spiritual healing, and personal development and it is my great honor to support others on this path.
My Approach
My approach to coaching is informed by:
Existentialist-Humanist perspectives on developmental psychology and self-actualization
Jungian Psychology & Narrative approaches
Trauma Theory
Object Relations & Attachment Theory
The Theory of Positive Disintegration
The Neurodiversity Paradigm
The Social Model of Disability
Multiplicity of Mind (Parts Work)
I strive to provide the relational conditions that will optimally support your personal development work and self-inquiry. I do my best to bring unconditional positive regard, deep listening, and sensitive interpretation and reflections to each coaching client. Most importantly, as your coach I will give you empathy.
Empathetic attunement allows for co-regulation for our nervous systems, reparative experiences for our attachment wounds, and healing attention for the neglected parts of ourselves.
The word empathy originally comes from the art world. It was coined to describe the experience of stepping into a work of art - and that is how I view each coaching client. It my goal to provide you with the type of appreciation and analysis that an impressive and moving work of art truly deserves.
It would be my honor to collaborate with you on the artwork of your life.
